The day after the Midwest Tournament a bunch of us tried out the area around Chicago's Buckingham Fountain downtown.
A dream place to play pétanque: almost unlimited space, an incredible view, trees for shade, and both food stands and bathrooms a stone throw away.
That weekend was also the official worldwide Petanque 100 Day, hence the urge to fool around with some balls and the number 100...

The Buckingham Fountain, officially known as the 'Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain' is one of Chicago's most popular landmarks. The fountain is located in Grant Park at the center of a formally laid out garden.
